My niece has an HP 3820 Deskjet printer attached to an iMac running 9.2. She keeps getting a "Color Cartridge Incompatible" alert. It started when she changed cartridges. Said she didn't force anything. (?) I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, changed cartridges, cleaned the contacts, eyeballed it to see if everything looked okay and unplugged and re-plugged all the cables. Even bounced it up and down a couple of times! The "Test" and "Diagnosis" operations run fine but when you want to print...there's the alert. In some instances another alert comes up "you have printing in progress" yet nothing shows in the printer progress window. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks a bunch!
